Since 2016, Columbia Children’s Center has been under the direction of Cortney Dasmann. Cortney began teaching at Columbia Children’s Center in 2010 and is thrilled to serve as the center’s director.
Prior to coming to Columbia Children’s Center, Cortney owned and operated her own home daycare for thirteen years, allowing her to stay home to raise her four children coinciding with fulfilling her passion for children. Although owning her own business was a success she went on to pursue teaching.
Cortney has loved everything about children and their development since she was a young girl helping in her mother’s home daycare. Being a mother herself has taught Cortney many things, such as how patience is needed and used in each moment, to instinctively know when a hug is what a child needs in her loving care. She is very proud of her wonderful staff and considers them to be an integral part of what sets Columbia Children’s Center apart from any other center. Columbia Children’s Center is fortunate to have the direction and guidance from Cortney for many years to come.
