Since we opened in 1992, the health and safety of children and staff has always been our priority.
We have implemented the following additional guidelines during this Covid-19 Pandemic. These guidelines may change as additional information becomes available. Please note that all procedures/policies outlined in our Parent Handbook, still apply, except where they conflict with these new guidelines. These guidelines represent best practices as recommended by the CDC and Community Care Licensing as well as our desire to operate a center that meets the educational and developmental needs of children.
Bring your child’s lunch in a disposable paper bag. Be sure to write their name on the bag. Currently we are not allowing any personal toys, back packs or blankets. Please be sure to take your child’s napper home each week to be laundered.
In an effort to limit how many people come into the center, children will be dropped off and picked up in the front lobby. A CCC staff member will be available during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. for drop off and between 11:45 a.m. -12:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for pick-up. If you need to drop off or pick up outside these hours, please message us using Bright Wheel or call us at 922-KIDS.We will attempt to accommodate you.
Upon arrival, a CCC staff member will take your child’s temperature, escort them to their classroom and ensure their hands are washed. We are asking parents to self-certify that their child is healthy and able to attend. To limit the spread, please use the Bright Wheel app, on your own device, to sign in your child whenever possible. QR codes are located on the signs by the sidewalk, the front door and on the Ipad located on the front counter. Please let us know if you need assistance with this.
In order to respect social distancing, we are asking that only 1 family comes into the lobby at a time. Please line up at the markers on our sidewalk until it is your turn.
Our revised illness policy is here. We ask that you be extra cautious during this unprecedented time. When in doubt, please keep your child home!
It is critical that an authorized pick up person is available at all times in the event that we need to send home a child. Please be sure we have current phone numbers available for all your authorized pickups.
Staff members temperatures are checked daily upon arrival. Staff members also follow our Illness Guidelines and are encouraged to stay home if in doubt.
Children are not required to wear masks. If you want your child to wear a mask, we will do our best to encourage them to do so. We do not require staff members to wear masks when they are working in their home classroom. If a staff member has to work in another classroom, they will be required to wear a mask when they are not able to keep a 6-foot distance from the children.
We employ a fulltime janitor. Each evening he continues to clean and disinfect all surfaces. High touch areas will be disinfected throughout the day. Items that have gone in a child’s mouth will go into a To Be Disinfected bin immediately.
We are spending additional time outdoors. When the weather is nice, some children will nap outside.
CCC will contact SB County Public Health & Community Care Licensing and follow the protocol they recommend.
