Here at Columbia Children's Center, our Santa Maria kindergarten readiness program provides a nurturing, caring, and safe environment for your child to learn and grow through age-appropriate experiences. Our goal is to build confidence and prepare children for a successful school experience.
We have a variety of Centers in our classroom. Your child will be involved in hands-on and interactive activities to develop their emotional, social, and academic skills. They will be provided many opportunities to explore, communicate and create in a warm and loving atmosphere.
A day in our Kindergarten Readiness program
- 7:00 - 7:30 Arrival, Free choice Activities
- 7:30 - 8:30 Outside Free Exploration
- 8:30 - 11:45 Snack, pre reading, pre-writing, beginning math, scissor work, group discussion, language development, calendar, phonics, number, shape & letter recognition, social studies, flag salute, story, art, science, gross motor activities, outdoor play
- 11:45 - 12:30 Lunch, prepare for nap or departure
- 12:30 - 2:30 Nap
- 2:30 - 3:15 Quiet time, wake from nap, snack
- 3:15 - 4:15 Teacher directed activities (story, music, process art)
- 4:15 - 4:45 Outside play
- 4:45 - 5:30 Developmental learning centers
Kindergarten Readiness Weekly Tuition Rates
Half Days (leave by 12:15)
2 days per week: $135
3 days per week: $165
4 days per week: $200
5 days per week: $230
Full Days (attend after 12:15)
2 days per week: $165
3 days per week: $210
4 days per week: $260
5 days per week: $310
There is an annual registration fee of $150 per child. A 10% discount will be given for each additional child in a family.
Single extra days may be arranged with the director at a rate of half day: $75, full day: $90.
